Cranberry Island is just 20 minutes by boat from Northeast Harbor. You'll need to take a ferry or water taxi to get to the island, both services are available from Northeast Harbor. See the link below for Cranberry Isles visitor's information, parking, maps, restaurants and transportation options!
On the Island:
The Cranberry House, a free museum, provides a historical look at "insight into island life".
Hitty's Cafe, grab a bite to eat or a cold drink on the deck. Enjoy walking trails and a land-locked lobster boat that's fun to climb aboard.
Newman and Gray Boatyard, watch as these experts build and repair all types of vessels.

The library has books, videos, and audiobooks to check out, as well as WiFi and charging stations.
Hiking Trails, there are several hiking trails on the island
Prebble Cove Trail- a short hike leaves from Cranberry House.
Whistler Cove Train- a 10-minute hike to a large cove with a sand beach. Perfect for picnics and swimming. Also starts near Cranberry House.
Cranberry Shores Trail- Entrance to the trail at the far end of the island. This short trail leads to very rocky coastal hiking.
